Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Israeli strikes on southern Gaza on Monday. The attacks came as the reported death toll from the conflict approached 73,000. The continued violence is worsening humanitarian conditions for civilians across the besieged territory.
According to Palestinian media reports, an Israeli airstrike targeted a group of civilians in the al-Attar area of al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. The strike killed two people and wounded several others. In a separate incident, three Palestinians were injured when a drone strike hit a vehicle near Asdaa City, northwest of Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, another strike reportedly targeted a gathering near Salah al-Din Road in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. Details regarding casualties from that attack were not immediately available. Residents and emergency teams continue to face challenges accessing affected areas due to ongoing hostilities and infrastructure damage.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said the overall death toll since October 7, 2023, had risen to 72,980. The ministry reported that 173,171 people had been injured during the conflict. Hospitals received eight bodies and 43 wounded individuals over the previous 24 hours. Officials also said many victims remain trapped beneath rubble or in inaccessible locations.

Separately, Palestinian sources reported that Israeli forces detained 11 Palestinians during raids across the occupied West Bank. The operations were accompanied by heightened security measures and reported property damage. The latest developments come amid continued military operations and growing international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
