Saudi Arabia backs Iran US extension move

Saudi Arabia welcomed the United States decision to give Iran more time for reaching a nuclear agreement. Saudi officials called the move a positive step for regional stability. Moreover, they said it supports ongoing diplomatic efforts. The statement highlighted hopes for reduced tensions in the region. Officials stressed the importance of continued negotiations.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan praised the decision by US leadership. He said extending talks could help achieve a lasting agreement with Iran. Furthermore, he emphasized Saudi Arabia’s support for peaceful diplomatic solutions. He also reaffirmed commitment to regional and international peace efforts. His remarks reflected cautious optimism about the process.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia said longer negotiations may improve shipping security in the Strait of Hormuz. Moreover, officials welcomed US measures aimed at securing maritime routes. They expressed hope that tensions in the Gulf region would reduce. In addition, they encouraged Iran to respond positively to mediation efforts. The focus remains on ensuring stability in global energy routes.

Meanwhile, Saudi authorities reiterated support for global and regional peace initiatives. Furthermore, they said dialogue remains the best path forward. Officials stressed that diplomatic engagement is essential to avoid escalation. In addition, they warned that continued instability could harm regional economies. The statement underlined the importance of sustained cooperation among stakeholders.

On the other hand, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran faces ongoing threats of conflict. He claimed that external forces may be pushing for renewed confrontation. Moreover, he warned that Iran remains prepared for any escalation. His remarks reflected continuing mistrust between regional actors. The situation remains tense despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
