Authorities said the holidays will cover the Day of Arafah and Eidul Adha celebrations from Tuesday to Friday, followed by the regular weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Official work in government offices is scheduled to resume on Monday, June 1.

The Kuwaiti cabinet stated that institutions dealing with essential or sensitive services would be allowed to determine their own work schedules in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure uninterrupted public services during the holiday period.

The announcement comes as Muslim-majority countries across the Gulf region finalize holiday schedules for Eidul Adha, one of the most significant religious festivals in the Islamic calendar. The occasion commemorates the spirit of sacrifice and is marked by prayers, charity, family gatherings, and the ritual sacrifice of animals.

The cabinet also extended greetings and best wishes to the Amir of Kuwait, citizens, residents, and the wider Muslim community on the occasion of Eidul Adha. Officials expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, prosperity, and blessings to Kuwait and the Islamic world.

The extended break is expected to increase travel activity within the Gulf region, with many residents planning family gatherings and vacations during the holiday period.
