Dar calls for expanding trade, energy cooperation with KSA

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday appreciating the strong fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasized further strengthening the ongoing positive momentum and expanding bilateral cooperation across all sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and human resource development. The deputy prime minister was talking to Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, who called on him here on the sidelines of the Regional Envoys Conference held here. Deputy Prime Minister Dar also underscored continued engagement with the Pakistani community in the Kingdom, recognizing their constructive and positive contribution in further deepening the close bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates Shafqat Ali Khan called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Regional Envoys’ Conference held here. During the meeting, the deputy prime minister emphasized the need to further expand cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates across diverse fields and to strengthen bilateral relations. Highlighting the positive role of the Pakistani community in the UAE, he directed the envoy to further facilitate their welfare, while promoting stronger people-to-people linkages between the two countries. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to the Islamic Republic of Iran Imran Ahmed Siddiqui on Tuesday called on Dar ahead of his departure to Tehran. Recalling the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Iran, the deputy prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation in all spheres, particularly in trade, connectivity, people-to-people exchanges, and regional collaboration. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the positive momentum in bilateral engagement through close coordination and mutual understanding. Deputy Prime Minister Dar also highlighted Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in promoting regional peace, dialogue, and stability. Wishing him success in his new assignment, Dar expressed confidence that the ambassador-designate would make a valuable contribution towards further strengthening the enduring partnership between the two brotherly countries.
