Bangladesh opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy was dismissed early in the innings, falling in the second ball of the first over. Despite a steady effort from Litton Das, who scored 126 runs, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to build partnerships. Consequently, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals.
Other contributions included Najmul Hossain Shanto with 29 runs, Mominul Haque with 22, and Mushfiqur Rahim with 23 runs. However, none of the batters could convert starts into a big innings except Litton Das. Pakistan maintained pressure through consistent line and length bowling.

Pakistan made three changes to their playing XI for the match, bringing in Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad, and Sajid Khan. Bangladesh currently lead the two-Test series 1–0 after winning the first match by 104 runs. The result of the second Test remains crucial for the series outcome.
