Cambridge International has postponed the AS Level Mathematics paper in Pakistan after a reported leak. The decision affects thousands of students preparing for the scheduled exam. The move comes as authorities investigate how the paper was shared early.
According to Cambridge International, the AS Level Mathematics Paper 32 was circulated before the scheduled time. The board said the issue was treated as a serious security breach. It added that student fairness required immediate action.

The examination, originally planned for Pakistan on May 15, will now be rescheduled. Cambridge said the new date will be announced by May 22. It also confirmed that the final results timeline remains unchanged.
Cambridge International Education said it is consulting local stakeholders and strengthening security measures. Country Director Uzma Yusuf described the situation as unusual during the current exam season. She said certain elements are attempting to damage the exam system and student futures.

The board also stated it is pursuing legal options against those responsible for leaks. It added that detailed guidance will be issued to schools by May 22. Authorities aim to prevent further breaches during the ongoing exam cycle.
