Published on: May 9, 2026 8:46 PM

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will lead a ceremony at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. The event commemorates the 2025 conflict with India and the ceasefire that followed Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.

According to official media reports, the ceremony will be attended by senior military leadership, including the Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. A wreath will be laid at the martyrs’ monument, followed by a salute from the tri-services contingents.
