Moreover, the Director General of Passports and Immigration, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, announced the restoration. He said the Passport Headquarters fixed the technical fault successfully. As a result, the system resumed operations after a four-day suspension.
In addition, officials explained that the technical issue had temporarily halted services in several regions. These included Saudi Arabia, Europe, and the United Arab Emirates. Consequently, many Pakistani citizens abroad faced delays in passport processing during this period.

However, services have now been restored in Pakistani diplomatic missions across the UAE. The Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai have restarted passport operations. Thus, applicants in the region can once again submit and receive their documents.
Similarly, passport services have also resumed in Saudi Arabia. Pakistani diplomatic missions there are now fully operational. Furthermore, authorities confirmed that all backlogged applications will be processed on priority.
