The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its forecast for the next 24 hours, predicting mostly hot and dry weather across the country. Southern regions are expected to experience severe heat conditions during this period.
According to the forecast, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, northeast Punjab, and the Potohar region may see rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Some areas could also experience hailstorms during this weather activity.

Officials said that most parts of the country remained hot and dry during the past 24 hours. However, isolated light rain was recorded in some northern and upper regions, including Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Punjab. Wind and thunderstorm activity was also reported in scattered areas.
Rainfall data showed 3 mm in Hunza, 2 mm in Mianwali, and 1 mm in Joharabad. These figures indicate limited but active weather systems in northern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, extreme heat persisted in southern regions. Temperatures reached 47°C in places such as Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Dadu, while Hyderabad recorded 46°C. Authorities have advised citizens to take precautions against heat exposure.
