
Authorities have revised school timings due to severe heat and changing weather conditions. The new schedule will be implemented from 3 May to 3 June. The decision aims to protect students from extreme daytime temperatures.
Under the revised timetable, all schools will start at 7 am. Different levels will have staggered closing times to manage student flow. Kindergarten classes will end at 12 pm, while primary classes will finish at 12:30 pm.

Preparatory and secondary classes will conclude at 12:45 pm under the new plan. Officials said the number of classes will remain unchanged. The adjustment is designed to reduce exposure to peak heat hours.
School staff and teachers will also follow updated working hours. They will begin duties at 7 am and end by 1:15 pm. Authorities said this ensures smooth academic operations during the heatwave period.

The revised schedule comes ahead of final semester examinations scheduled for early June. Education officials said the academic calendar will continue as planned. The changes are part of efforts to maintain student health and safety.
