Despite a recently announced ceasefire, Israeli forces continue to maintain positions in southern Lebanon. Military sources say the deployment extends several kilometres into Lebanese territory, covering multiple villages. Lebanese residents have reportedly been prevented from returning to their homes in affected areas.
Lebanese media reported additional incidents of violence in eastern and southern regions, including deaths, injuries, and destruction of infrastructure. Homes and public buildings have also been demolished during ongoing military activity. These developments have added pressure on the fragile ceasefire arrangement.
