Qatar said Tuesday that it supports ongoing Iran–US negotiations and broader diplomatic efforts to reduce regional tensions. The statement highlights growing international backing for dialogue amid concerns over instability in the region. The remarks also underline Qatar’s active diplomatic engagement.
Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said Qatar and the wider international community support the negotiations. He added that Doha is also backing its “Pakistani brothers” in their diplomatic role. Moreover, he warned that tensions over the Strait of Hormuz have escalated into a global concern.

Al Ansari said Qatar is in contact with all parties, including the United States, regarding talks in Islamabad. He stressed that Doha does not want to discuss the failure of negotiations. Additionally, he emphasized ongoing coordination to keep diplomatic channels open.
He noted that Pakistan and Gulf countries share important historical relations. He also said Gulf states maintain direct communication with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis. Furthermore, he described the crisis as a shared regional responsibility.

Meanwhile, Qatar reaffirmed its role as a trusted mediator in regional conflicts. Al Ansari said Doha will continue working with partners to find solutions. However, he stressed that resolving the crisis requires collective international effort.
