
The Pakistan Cricket Board is planning to build a cricket stadium in Saudi Arabia. The project could eventually host Pakistan Super League matches abroad. The move aims to expand Pakistan cricket’s global reach and fan base.
According to officials, the PCB has shown interest in constructing a stadium in Jeddah. The proposal is being developed in coordination with the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation. Moreover, the idea received initial approval in a recent board meeting.

Several locations across Saudi Arabia are currently under review for the project. Authorities are assessing venues to identify a suitable site for construction. However, the plan remains in its early development stage.
If agreements are finalized, construction could begin after a formal deal is signed. PCB officials expect a modern stadium with floodlights and adequate seating capacity. Additionally, timelines suggest rapid completion under current planning.

Meanwhile, the initiative aims to serve the large Pakistani and Asian expatriate community in Saudi Arabia. It also aligns with Saudi efforts to promote sports infrastructure. In the future, the venue may host PSL and other international fixtures.
