Gold prices decrease by Rs 4,900 per tola

The prices of gold declined in the local market on Monday, with 24 karat gold per tola decreasing by Rs 4,900 to settle at Rs 501,162 compared to Rs 506,062 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 4,201 to Rs 429,665 from Rs 433,866, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs 3,851 to Rs 393,873 against Rs 397,724. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $49 to $4,788 per ounce from $4,837. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs 145 to Rs 8,417 from Rs 8,562, while the price of 10 grams of silver also declined by Rs 124 to Rs 7,216 from Rs 7,340. The price of silver in the international market decreased by $1.45 to $79.33 per ounce from $80.78.
