LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the government has ensured merit in the province. Addressing a laptop distribution ceremony in Lahore on Thursday, the chief minister said the provincial government was utilising all available resources for the welfare of the youth, He said laptops were only being awarded to the deserving students on merit. The chief minister also claimed that the “boti mafia” has been eliminated. Talking about Orange Train project, Shahbaz said the project would be completed soon if the court gives the verdict in its favour, He further added that 700 police stations in Punjab have been computerised.
