PN successfully tests anti-ship missile

anti-ship missileIn a resolute display of preparedness and precision-strike capability, the Pakistan Navy successfully conducted a live weapon firing of an indigenously developed Ship-Launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile, accurately engaging its target with high speed at extended range.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with leading scientists and engineers, witnessed the missile firing, said a news release by the Directorate General Public Relations (Pak Navy).

The missile integrates a cutting-edge guidance system and advanced maneuverability, enabling it to evade threats, adapt to dynamic conditions, and deliver with precision and lethality.

The successful launch of this indigenously developed missile underscores the fusion of technological excellence and operational expertise. This missile firing is a manifestation of Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maintaining credible sea-based deterrence in the conventional domain and ensuring maritime security and stability in the region.

The President, Prime Minister, Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs have commended the participating units and scientists on achieving this milestone.

Moreover, Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday extended heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistan Navy, scientists, engineers, and the entire nation on the successful test of Pakistan’s anti-ship missile.

He described the achievement as a significant milestone in further strengthening the country’s national defence. He commended the professionalism, dedication, and technical expertise of naval personnel and associated experts, noting that such accomplishments enhance the country’s defence preparedness and reinforce its strategic strength.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday congratulated the nation on the successful test of an anti-ship missile conducted by the Pakistan Navy, terming it a major advancement in the country’s defense capabilities.

In an official statement, the minister praised the Navy’s scientists and engineers, calling the achievement commendable and reflective of their professional excellence.

He said that under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir and Chief of the Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf, Pakistan had secured another success in the defense sector.
