RAWALPINDI – Pakistan’s security forces have killed eight terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij after detecting their movement along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the engagement took place on April 1, 2026, and was carried out with precision, resulting in the elimination of all eight militants. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.
The ISPR statement highlighted the repeated failure of the Afghan Taliban regime to secure the border effectively. “Afghan Taliban must fulfill their obligations and prevent the use of Afghan soil by khwarij militants, as well as their involvement in terrorism inside Pakistan,” it read.
Authorities confirmed that a sanitization operation is ongoing to ensure no other Indian-sponsored militants remain in the area. The operations are part of Pakistan’s broader counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in defending the nation’s borders and will continue their full-scale efforts to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
