
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has been restricted from bowling in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), following instructions from Cricket Australia due to injury concerns.

Green, one of the most expensive overseas players in IPL history, was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 25.20 crore. Despite expectations of his all-round performance, he did not bowl in a recent high-scoring match against Mumbai Indians, raising questions among fans and analysts.
Following Kolkata Knight Riders’ defeat, Green’s absence from the bowling attack became a major talking point. When asked about the decision, team captain Ajinkya Rahane said that queries regarding Green’s bowling should be directed to Cricket Australia.
In a statement, a Cricket Australia spokesperson clarified that the decision was precautionary, citing a lower back injury. The board has temporarily restricted Green from bowling to manage his workload and prevent further complications. Officials confirmed that the franchise had been informed in advance about the limitation.
