Published on: March 28, 2026 6:14 PM

Bahrain’s Defence Force has intercepted and destroyed 174 missiles and 385 drones amid ongoing Iranian attacks, officials confirmed. The air defense systems have successfully prevented the projectiles from hitting civilian areas and key infrastructure, according to the General Command.

In a statement, the command condemned the targeting of civilian areas and private property, describing it as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. The attacks were called a direct threat to regional peace and security.

Authorities urged the public to remain cautious, avoid damaged locations, and stay away from suspicious objects. They also emphasized the importance of relying on official updates and not spreading unverified information.

The interception highlights Bahrain’s preparedness and the effectiveness of its air defense systems in protecting the country against escalating missile and drone threats. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding civilians and national infrastructure.
