ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Thursday said that the real face of India had been exposed by the confessions of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent Kulbhushan Jadhav and Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan. At the weekly news briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that New Delhi had direct involvement in terror activities in Pakistan. “Kulbhushan Jadhav was a serving commander of Indian Navy, working for Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and was caught red-handed. He made confessions, and was tried for espionage activities. His trial was conducted according to the law of the land in a transparent manner,” he said. About granting consular access to Jadhav, Zakaria said that Pakistan and India had signed an agreement on consular access in 2008. “According to clause VI of that agreement, a decision to grant consular access in cases where detentions and arrests relate to political or security matters, the request of consular access would be decided on merits of the case,” he said. “Ehsanullah Ehsan surrendered voluntarily to Pakistani authorities. Ehsanullah remained associated with TTP as a spokesperson and later with Jamaatul Ahrar (JuA) until his surrender. In his revelations, he said that JuA was working on RAW’s agenda to destabilise Pakistan using Afghan soil. That JuA was receiving all kinds of support including shelter, finances, training facilities and documentation for ease of movement in Afghanistan. Local population of Kunar and Nangarhar strongly resents JuA’s activities, but they are helpless,” Zakaria said. He also revealed that JuA leader Omar Khalid Khorasani had received medical treatment in India after he was injured in Afghanistan. The spokesman said that Pakistan had always highlighted that India was using the Afghan soil against Pakistan. “It has been repeatedly stated by those in India in position of authority and responsibility that their purpose is to squeeze Pakistan from the eastern and western borders,” he said. “The international community should take note of Indian state-sponsorship of activities of subversion, terrorism and financing of terrorists against Pakistan. India clearly stands exposed as a state sponsoring and financing terrorists,” he said. Referring to the situation in Kashmir, he said that India’s repressive policies continued in held-Kashmir. “India has placed a ban on social media in the territory to hide grave human rights violations,” he said.
