Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called for regional coordination and vigilance in separate calls with counterparts from Pakistan, Turkiye, and Egypt. The appeal follows recent attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure, which Tehran described as attempts to escalate regional tensions. The calls aim to strengthen cooperation and prevent further destabilization.
The warning comes after strikes targeted Iran’s South Pars gas field and Asaluyeh energy facilities on Wednesday. Iran responded by hitting energy sites linked to the United States in Gulf countries, including the world’s largest LNG complex at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar. Tehran condemned the attacks as provocations designed to destabilize the region.

In the discussions, Araghchi described U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran’s infrastructure as deliberate attempts to escalate conflict. He urged regional countries to remain vigilant and coordinate responses to protect critical energy facilities and maintain regional stability.
A spokesman for Iran’s armed forces, Ebrahim Zolfaqari, said the attacks marked a “new stage in the war.” He warned that any further strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure would trigger a more severe response against targets in the region, including allied facilities.

The developments come amid rising tensions in the Middle East as the U.S. considers military reinforcements. Iran’s calls for coordination underscore its intent to involve regional partners in de-escalation, while simultaneously signaling a readiness for a tougher military stance if further attacks occur.
