The announcement followed an official meeting held in Islamabad under Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Committee members attended along with representatives from the Meteorological Department and SUPARCO. They reviewed moon sighting reports and weather conditions carefully.

Meanwhile, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees conducted meetings across the country. These sessions took place in all four provincial capitals and other regions. Officials collected testimonies and verified reports from multiple locations.
However, no credible evidence of the Shawwal moon sighting was received from any part of the country. Therefore, authorities confirmed that Ramadan will complete 30 days this year. This decision aligns with established moon sighting protocols.
