Donald Trump warned that the United States could launch additional strikes on Kharg Island, a key Iranian oil export hub, as tensions escalate between United States and Iran. The remarks came as the regional conflict entered another intense phase with no immediate signs of de-escalation.
Trump claimed that recent American attacks had “totally demolished” large parts of Kharg Island and suggested further strikes could follow. At the same time, he said Tehran appeared interested in negotiations but insisted that the proposed ceasefire terms were still unacceptable.

Meanwhile, the US president urged allied nations to help secure the strategic Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes. He called on countries that rely on Gulf energy supplies to send naval forces and support efforts to keep the passage open.
The conflict has significantly disrupted global energy markets, as the Strait of Hormuz handles a large portion of international oil shipments. Analysts warn that continued instability in the region could push oil prices higher and increase pressure on global supply chains.

At the same time, Iran signaled it would intensify its response and rejected any ceasefire while US and Israeli airstrikes continue. Iranian forces have already launched drones and missiles toward regional targets, escalating concerns about a wider Middle East conflict.
The fighting, which began after joint airstrikes by the United States and Israel on Iran on February 28, has reportedly caused more than 2,000 deaths, most of them in Iran. Recent strikes also hit facilities in Isfahan, where at least fifteen people were reported killed in an air attack.
