At least two children were killed and three other family members injured when a vehicle plunged into a river in Malir, Karachi, during wee hours of Saturday.
According to rescue officials, the car overturned due to excessive speed, resulting in the deaths of two children, while several others sustained injuries in the Malir traffic accident.
Rescue officials added that a vehicle fell off a bridge in Malir, injuring five people. Rescue and police teams quickly reached the scene to assist the victims. Rescue officials said two of the injured children were in critical condition. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
Rescue officials said the other injured individuals are receiving medical treatment, and authorities have launched an ongoing investigation into the accident.
