‘Armed Forces, nation stand united’

Published on: March 2, 2026 3:54 AM

Leaders of social, political and business organisations said on Sunday the entire nation was standing shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces and was ready to make every sacrifice for the defence and stability of the country.

President of Tanzeem-ul-Akhwan Abdul Qadir Awan, while talking to APP, said the whole nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its brave soldiers.

Former MPA and leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Mian Muhammed Azeem appreciated the security forces for taking decisive action under Operation “Ghazab-ul-Haq.” He said the armed forces had always rendered great sacrifices for the protection of the country and the nation, adding that their sacrifices would never go in vain.

Paying tribute to martyrs, he said they were the real heroes of the nation and urged citizens to foil the nefarious designs of enemy elements.

Former president of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khwaja Muhammed Hussain also expressed full support for the government and armed forces, saying the entire business community stood united for the defence and protection of the country. He stressed the need for unity among all schools of thought at this critical time and urged the nation to remain united for peace, stability and national security.

The Anjuman Tajran Commercial Market in Rawalpindi on Sunday expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces, reaffirming its commitment to supporting national security and defence at all levels.

Anjuman President Malik Sohail Awan, General Secretary Raja Zafar Yousaf, Joint Secretary Tahir Ismail and Patron-in-Chief Raja Asad Hameed and other office-bearers, in a joint statement, said the armed forces were the guarantors of the country’s security, sovereignty and stability.

Malik Sohail Awan said that in the prevailing circumstances, the entire nation, including the trader community, stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and would not allow any internal or external conspiracy to succeed.

The trader leaders said the sacrifices rendered by security forces for the defence of the country and the restoration of peace were unforgettable and would always be honoured.

They reiterated that the business community would continue to support state institutions in difficult times and play a constructive role in promoting national development and stability.

A large rally was organized by Taluka Education Officers, Sukkur City, to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and support Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq. The rally began at Minara Road and concluded at Sukkur Press Club after marching through various routes here on Sunday. Teachers, school students, and a large number of citizens participated, carrying national flags and placards with slogans in favor of the armed forces.

Participants chanted “Pak Fauj Zindabad” and “Pakistan Paindabad,” while national songs and anthems echoed through the streets. Addressing the gathering, speakers emphasized that there would be no compromise on the defense of the motherland and that no harm would be allowed to come to Pakistan’s soil. They stated that no matter how the enemy appears, Pakistan’s brave security forces Army, Air Force, and Navy along with the nation’s people, will thwart all malicious designs.

Speakers highlighted that in Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, Pakistan’s forces effectively responded to and repelled aggression from a much stronger enemy, India. They added that in Operation Zarb-ul-Haq, professional and steadfast actions against Afghan militants continue on every front, with the entire nation standing shoulder to shoulder with its forces.

They noted that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces are a source of pride for the entire nation and reaffirmed their commitment to national integrity, stability, development, and prosperity. The rally concluded with a special prayer for the country’s security, progress, and the elevated ranks of martyrs.
