Pakistan executes ‘operation Ghazab-lil-Haq’, 274 Taliban killed in retaliation

Pakistan has launched “Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq” in response to unprovoked cross-border attacks by the Afghan Taliban along multiple points of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, striking military headquarters, tanks, artillery units, and check posts.

According to DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Pakistani forces killed 274 Taliban fighters and injured more than 400 in retaliatory operations, destroying 73 check posts while capturing 18 positions, demonstrating the country’s decisive defensive response.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that militants attempted drone attacks in Abbottabad, Swabi, and Nowshera, but Pakistan’s anti-drone systems intercepted and shot down all incoming devices without casualties, exposing direct links between Afghan Taliban and militant activity.

The Pakistan Air Force carried out major air strikes targeting key installations in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, and Nangarhar. Two brigade headquarters in Kabul, corps and brigade headquarters in Kandahar, and a corps headquarters in Paktia were reported destroyed.

Pakistani forces captured five Afghan posts in Paktia province opposite South Waziristan, including positions near Shawal, Angoor Adda, and Zarmalan. Heavy retaliatory exchanges were also reported in Bajaur, Tirah, Chitral, Mohmand, Wali Khan, and Kurram sectors.

Civilian areas in Bajaur were affected as mortar shells injured five people, including three women, and damaged a mosque. Pakistani leadership emphasized the country’s full preparedness to defend its sovereignty while international calls for a ceasefire increased.
