Pakistan will never forget struggle of Kashmiris, says Faryal Talpur

Published on: February 6, 2026 2:37 AM

Pakistan People’s Party Women’s Wing President Ms Faryal Talpur has said that February 5 is a symbol of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment, moral responsibility, and historic relationship with the Kashmiri people. Kashmir Solidarity Day is a day to renew the pledge that Pakistan will not allow the Kashmiri people to be deprived of their rights. In her message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Ms Faryal Talpur said that every person in Pakistan, especially women, stands and will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people. She said that Pakistan has never forgotten and will never forget the struggle of its Kashmiri brothers and sisters. The Kashmiri people, she added, continue to face severe Indian state oppression, repression, terrorism, and grave human rights violations. She said that the ongoing atrocities against unarmed civilians, women, children, and the elderly in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir are a matter of concern for the conscience of the entire world. Extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, demolition of homes, restrictions on freedom of expression, and the humiliation of women in occupied Kashmir are clear violations of international law, human values, and United Nations resolutions. Faryal Talpur further said that the silence of the international community on the atrocities committed by terrorist India is emboldening such actions. She said that the Pakistan People’s Party has stood with the Kashmiri people since its inception and will continue to do so. From Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and from President Asif Ali Zardari to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP has presented the Kashmir cause with courage and a principled stance. The PPP Women’s Wing pays special tribute to the courage and sacrifices of Kashmiri women in this ongoing struggle. She said that the non-implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions raises serious questions about the credibility of international institutions. She urged the international community to pressure India to grant the Kashmiri people the right to a free and fair plebiscite in accordance with UN resolutions.
