Five killed as car hits tractor-trolley in Daska

Published on: January 26, 2026 2:23 AM

Five people, including two children, were killed and one injured when a speeding car collided with a stationed tractor-trolley on Daska Road near Mohabbat Khan petrol pump on Sunday.

According to officials, a bricks-laden tractor-trolley was parked on the service road when a fast-moving Cultus car coming from the Daska side went out of control and rammed into it, resulting in multiple fatalities.

Rescue teams reached the spot immediately, recovered the bodies from the damaged vehicle and shifted them to THQ Hospital Daska. The injured person, identified as 33-year-old Sohail of Fateh Garh, was provided initial medical assistance and shifted to hospital. The deceased were identified as siblings Ezza (3) and Zaman (6), children of Sohail, along with Salman (36), Islam (58) and Imran (29).

District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal visited the accident site, reviewed the situation and supervised the clearance of the road to restore traffic flow.

Relatives said that the victims were traveling with family members and friends and were returning after attending a birthday celebration.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed profound sorrow over a tragic road accident in Daska, in which a car collided with a trolley, resulting in the deaths of five people, including children.

The chief minister conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, describing the incident as deeply painful and distressing. She prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for strength and patience for the families to bear this irreparable loss.

CM Maryam Nawaz said that the death of precious human lives, particularly children, is an immense tragedy, and assured that the provincial administration stands with the affected families during this difficult time.
