Although the spell of snowfall in Murree has ended, large amounts of snow are still piled on the roofs of houses and shops in various areas, posing potential risks to public safety.
In view of the situation, the District Murree Administration has issued important safety guidelines and urged citizens to follow them strictly.
According to the district administration, residents must not throw roof snow onto roads, streets, or public pathways, as this can block routes and seriously damage electricity and telephone lines, possibly leading to major accidents.
Officials said that dumping snow from rooftops creates difficulties for pedestrians and motorists, while slippery surfaces and sudden falling snow can also cause loss of life and property.
The District Murree Administration strongly appealed to all residents and shopkeepers to fully cooperate with authorities and avoid throwing snow onto roads, in order to prevent any untoward incidents. The administration emphasized that public cooperation is essential to ensure collective safety and maintain civic order.
