The Khyber district administration on Thursday advised affected families from Tirah valley to avoid displacement and travel for two days due to unfavorable weather conditions.
In an official statement, the district administration informed residents that because of rain and poor weather, displacement from Tirah Valley should be avoided on Thursday, January 22, and January 23.
The administration said that once weather conditions improve, the displacement process will resume as per routine.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief) Khyber, Irshad Ali, in a video message, highlighted the risks associated with travel during the current weather.
He said that an IDPs’ vehicle met with a tragic accident last night, resulting in the death of two children and injuries to three others.
