The main suspect in the murder case of a security forces man in Lakki Marwat has been arrested at Peshawar airport while attempting to flee abroad.
Police said the arrest of the accused, identified as Safeerullah, was carried out with the assistance of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to police officials, Safeerullah was wanted in a murder case registered at Tajjuri Police Station on November 16, 2025.
Investigations revealed that he, along with his accomplice Matiullah, was involved in the killing of security forces personnel Waheed Zaman.
Police said that the deceased, Waheed Zaman, was serving in the security forces in Balochistan at the time of the incident.
Following the murder, co-accused Matiullah managed to escape abroad two days later, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
The arrested suspect has been handed over to the concerned authorities for further investigation, while inquiries into the case are ongoing.
