
Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir stressed strong, professional policing ensures internal security and rule of law. He said a people-centric police force remains vital for national stability. He shared these views during his visit to the National Police Academy.
During the visit, senior police leadership welcomed the army chief with a guard of honour. He laid a wreath at the Police Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha. He paid tribute to officers who sacrificed their lives protecting public safety.

Moreover, Field Marshal Munir acknowledged police sacrifices against terrorism, crime, and internal threats. He praised their resilience under difficult security conditions. He called their duty essential for peace and constitutional order.
He received briefings on SHIELD and modern police training initiatives. He also met cadet ASPs and highlighted policing as the first line of defence. He stressed protecting citizens’ lives, property, and dignity.

Furthermore, Munir urged inter-agency cooperation, modern policing, and public trust. He assured full armed forces support for police nationwide. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Talal Chaudhry attended the visit.
