OKARA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that government has launched a number of power projects to increase power supply in the country and by 2018 load-shedding will be eradicated once and for all. He stated this while addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a gas provision project in Okara on Saturday. He said that Okara will be linked with motorway soon to make it at par with other developed parts of the country. He said that this was our campaign promised in 2013, which we are fulfilling. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is committed to bring significant improvement in the lives of the people. He said that a sum of 470 million rupees will be spent on the provision of gas to Okara. Similarly, a sum of 740 million rupees is being spent on construction of flyover in the city besides the improvement of roads at a cost of 200 million rupees. Nawaz said that a 200-bed existing hospital is being upgraded to 500-bed to provide relief and faculties to the patients. He also announced to establish an industrial estate in Okara. He said that government has launched a number of power projects to increase power supply in the country. On the current political situation of the country, he said that PML-N had scored massive victory in 2013 general elections and added that in 2018 his party would again score victory.
