DG ISPR connects with students on defense, awareness

DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a special session at Islamia University Bahawalpur with teachers, students, and representatives from various institutions. The discussion focused on national and regional security, the Pakistan Army’s role, and Operation Bunyanun Marsoos. Students expressed strong support for the Army and its commitment to the Constitution.

During the session, the DG ISPR praised the people of Bahawalpur for their historic contributions to Pakistan’s independence and ongoing national stability. He highlighted threats from external propaganda, including India-backed movements, and emphasized the need to strengthen youth awareness through media literacy. Participants were urged to remain vigilant against misleading narratives and protect Pakistan’s national interests.

The Vice Chancellor of Islamia University lauded the session for its detailed insights into Pakistan’s security objectives. Teachers and students discussed the significance of media literacy in shaping responsible opinions and defending against negative influence. Several seminaries’ representatives joined the conversation, reflecting broad engagement across educational institutions.

At the conclusion, attendees applauded the Pakistan Army for its unwavering support to the nation. Students from seminaries voiced admiration for the Army’s dedication, while the session ended with resounding chants of “Pakistan Zindabad.” The event reinforced public understanding of security challenges and the Army’s role in national defense.

The DG ISPR stressed the importance of continued dialogue between the military and youth to build awareness and strengthen patriotism. The session marks part of broader outreach initiatives by the Pakistan Army to engage civil society and educational institutions nationwide.
