
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has formally refused to send its team to India for the T20 World Cup. The decision comes amid rising security concerns for players, staff, and fans. BCB sent a detailed response letter to the International Cricket Council explaining its stance.
According to sources, the BCB addressed all questions raised by the ICC with supporting evidence. The board highlighted safety risks not only for players but also for media personnel and other stakeholders. They emphasized that security and visa issues remain unresolved.

The BCB included government positions and official statements with its response. The board reiterated concerns over threats to the team and broader security policies in India. They stressed that these issues make travel unsafe and impractical.
Recently, extremist threats and IPL team orders led to Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman being excluded from Kolkata Knight Riders. The BCB had already warned that India was unsafe for its players. The government of Bangladesh has also supported this security-based decision.
