Fans got their first glimpse of Yash’s darkest role yet as the teaser for the gangster film Toxic was released on Thursday. The teaser was unveiled as a special surprise to celebrate Yash’s 40th birthday, generating excitement across social media.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the nearly three-minute clip introduces Yash as Raya in a fierce new avatar. It opens with a funeral scene before cutting to a tense sequence of a family leaving the cemetery, setting a grim and suspenseful tone.

A car soon arrives at the location, and the teaser briefly shows an intimate moment inside before Raya steps out, shirtless and slipping into a black overcoat. He is then seen smoking a cigar, before violently confronting the grieving family and opening fire without hesitation. The clip ends with Yash delivering the chilling line, “Daddy’s home.”
The makers captioned the teaser, “Get a good look at your danger – Introducing RAYA…,” immediately drawing comparisons to Hollywood-style gangster films. Fans flooded the comments section, praising Yash’s intense transformation and the film’s dark aesthetic.
Toxic is a period gangster film produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under their respective banners, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Yash co-wrote the film with director Geetu Mohandas, adding a personal touch to his character’s development.
