The visit comes amid heightened security concerns, with the military citing Afghanistan as a hub for terrorists and non-state actors and warning against India-sponsored proxies involved in cross-border terrorism. Last month, the army leadership also cautioned political forces against rhetoric or agitation that could undermine national unity, pledging stern action against threats to stability.
