On the orders of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and the direction of DIG Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, a mock exercise was organized by law and security agencies, here on Saturday.
The aim of the mock exercise was to assess the mutual coordination and quick response capabilities of various security agencies to deal with potential threats of terrorism.
Special Protection Unit (SPU), Special Branch, District Police, Rescue 1122 and other law enforcement agencies participated in the mock exercise.
During the exercise, various stages such as identification of suspicious activity, timely action, search and clearance operation and shifting of injured to a safe place were demonstrated practically.
On this occasion, DIG said that exercises like mock exercise were very important to improve the professional capabilities of security agencies and effectively deal with any emergency situation.
He added that through mutual coordination, quick response and modern strategy, the protection of lives and property of foreign citizens will be ensured at all costs.
