WhatsApp is testing a new feature that allows users to save incomplete status updates as drafts. The feature is currently available in the beta version for a limited number of users. It aims to make managing and editing status posts easier, similar to Instagram.
According to WABetaInfo, users will be able to save text, stickers, or photo statuses as drafts. This will allow them to complete and post updates later without losing progress. The draft option appears directly in the status editor window.

Previously, WhatsApp introduced a draft-saving tool for chats, helping users identify messages that were typed but not sent. Now, this functionality is expanding to the status feature. Users can click the new save button in the editor to store unfinished statuses.
The new draft system will make status editing more convenient, especially for those who frequently update multiple posts. Users can resume editing at any time, ensuring better control over their content before sharing it publicly.
