
Lahore is expected to experience light rain on December 21 and 22, the Meteorological Department said. The showers will bring cooler temperatures and a fresh wave of cold to the city. Residents are advised to prepare for partly cloudy to overcast skies.
Experts said intermittent light rain will slightly reduce the intensity of the lingering dry winter. However, the drizzle will also intensify the winter chill. The combination of rain and cloudy skies will create typical winter conditions in Lahore.

Westerly winds entering Balochistan are expected to move toward Punjab. According to authorities, these winds will increase the intensity of cold in Lahore. Cities like Islamabad and Rawalpindi will also see a significant temperature drop.
The Meteorological Department noted that Karachi will face only mild cold and drizzle. Meanwhile, the incoming westerly winds are expected to bring rain and snowfall in Quetta, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) warned that snowfall in mountainous areas may disrupt traffic. Persistent fog in southern Punjab could also affect morning commutes, authorities added.
