PSL 11 will feature eight teams, up from six in previous editions, following the addition of two new franchises. The expansion has created more roster spots and earning opportunities for foreign players, making this edition particularly attractive for cricketing talent worldwide. The PCB has encouraged players and agents to complete registration by January 20, 2026, to be included in the official Player Pool.

The new franchises will be auctioned in Islamabad on January 8, 2026, in a live broadcast event. The league’s format has also been redesigned to accommodate the larger field, comprising 44 matches across a 39-day window from March 26 to May 3, 2026. In the first phase, all eight teams will play each other once in a single-league structure, ensuring fair competition before progressing to the second phase.

PCB officials highlighted that the revised format maintains the tournament’s duration while allowing each team equal opportunity against every opponent. The expansion is seen as a major step forward in growing the league’s profile and strengthening Pakistan’s domestic cricket infrastructure.

Since its inception in 2016, the PSL has grown in stature and popularity, attracting leading international cricketers and boosting local talent exposure. With the 11th edition promising larger prize pools, more matches, and a fresh format, the PCB aims to further enhance the league’s competitive edge and global reach.

Agents and players can complete their registration through the official PCB portal to secure a chance to participate in PSL 11.
