The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) has appointed Muhammad Shoaib, as Chairperson of its Audit, Assurance and Risk Advisory Board, underscoring the Institute’s determination to elevate governance, accountability, and risk management standards within the profession.
Mr. Shoaib brings extensive expertise as a Chartered Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Professional in Risk Management (ICMP-USA), and Certified Director under the Companies (Certification of Directors) Rules 2019. He also served the Institute as Chairman Multan Branch Council, Membership Cost Accounting Standard Board and Membership Research and Publication Committee.
In his new role, he will lead the Board in pursuing its strategic vision of advancing excellence in audit and assurance practices while strengthening risk advisory capabilities across the membership. The Board is tasked with building professional competence, fostering transparency, and aligning Pakistan’s governance frameworks with international best practices and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
ICMA Pakistan emphasized that strong audit, assurance, and risk oversight are indispensable for organizational resilience and public trust. Under Muhammad Shoaib’s chairmanship, the Board will intensify its efforts to position these disciplines as cornerstones of a well-governed and sustainable society.
