All Sindh govt depts to make procurement through e-tendering

Published on: December 9, 2025 12:26 AM

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced that the Sindh government will conduct procurement and all government work across departments through e-tendering. This policy has been endorsed by the Chief Minister of Sindh. Institutions that were previously exempt from public procurement rules will now also be included. From now on, all government procurement and tenders in Sindh will be conducted exclusively through e-tenders.

Speaking to the media at the Sindh Assembly Media Corner, Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that e-tendering will promote transparency across all government departments. He emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to close avenues that could enable corruption.

The Sindh government has decided that all departmental procurement in the province will now be conducted only through e-tendering. He added that this move will increase transparency, save public funds, and help curb corruption. The government’s decision is effective immediately, and from today onward, all tenders will be processed through e-tenders. In response to a question, Senior Minister Memon stated that currently, some of Imran Khan’s family members are giving interviews to Indian media and are participating in conspiracies against Pakistan. He said India’s failed ambitions have historically targeted Pakistan, and Pakistan’s forces have dealt India crushing defeats in previous conflicts. He added that PTI members are using Indian media for propaganda campaigns, but the Pakistan Peoples Party aims to uphold democratic traditions and ensure no party crosses the red line.

Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted that the PPP has consistently opposed martial law, and its leadership has made sacrifices for democracy. In contrast, the PTI leadership has never faced martial law or severe punishment, while PPP workers endured hardships without conspiring against the country. He recalled that Shaheed Bhutto was judicially murdered, Shaheed Bibi was martyred, and President Asif Ali Zardari was imprisoned for twelve years without cause.

Despite these atrocities, the PPP never acted against the country or its institutions. He emphasized that anyone acting against the nation or its institutions through foreign influence or media will be condemned. Regarding a recent incident at Nipa Chowrangi in Karachi, the senior minister said that every human life is valuable. The incident was tragic and heartbreaking, and those responsible must be held accountable. The Sindh Chief Minister acted immediately and suspended those involved. He also noted that yesterday, Sindhi Culture Day was celebrated. While everyone has the right to celebrate their culture, no one is allowed to take the law into their own hands.
