PTI’s ‘keyboard warriors’ targeting military for over two years: Azma

Published on: December 9, 2025 12:20 AM

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, has said that PTI’s so-called “keyboard warriors” have, for the past two and a half years, relentlessly targeted the Pakistan Army and its Chief through baseless propaganda and AI-generated videos. These “Ladle” of the “Tehreeke Fasad” consider character assassination their right, yet they are the first to object when questions are raised about their own conduct.

Azma Bokhari said that the PTI founder’s Twitter handle has turned into a permanent base for abuse, slander, and anti-institution hate. Meanwhile, Aleema Khan does not visit jail for her brother’s well-being-she goes there to receive dictation about whom to abuse next on social media.

She said the shameful language being used about the father of the DG ISPR is now being actively picked up and amplified by Indian media and hostile networks. She added that even the PTI founder’s own sister has publicly admitted to his deteriorating mental condition, but when anyone else states the same truth, PTI reacts with outrage.

Azma Bokhari further stated that the PTI founder repeatedly pleaded with General Bajwa to retain him in power and even offered him a lifetime extension-yet today he pretends otherwise.

Speaking on the floor of the Punjab Assembly, she said PTI leaders are trying to distort facts by pretending innocence, even though the nation has witnessed their politics, divisive behaviour, and destructive agenda for years. Their complaints about elections are nothing more than an attempt to hide their own incompetence and organizational failures, as their party was unable to retain even its election symbol due to internal chaos and court rulings.

The Minister said that while PTI demands respect for itself, it has normalized personal attacks on families, women, and public figures. Whenever held accountable for their behaviour, they immediately play the victim card. She added that this group has consistently tried to drag institutions into politics and has fueled instability across the country.

Referring to the events of 9th and 10th May, she said the entire nation knows whose mindset was behind the vandalism-from toppling martyrs’ monuments to attacking public buildings and sensitive installations. Such acts were a direct assault on the authority of the state and cannot be forgotten.

Azma Bokhari also condemned PTI’s irresponsible statements during Pakistan-India tensions, saying these remarks weakened Pakistan’s narrative and strengthened hostile foreign lobbies. “Statements like these directly aid enemy media and anti-Pakistan networks,” she said.

She added that those who have run smear campaigns against political leaders, national institutions, and prominent personalities now seek sympathy by portraying themselves as victims. In reality, no group has damaged Pakistan’s political discourse more than PTI itself. She emphasized that propaganda against institutions, baseless allegations, and targeted attacks on anyone who disagrees will no longer be tolerated. Concluding her remarks, she said the difference between humans and animals is intellect and responsibility-and nations progress only when their politics is rooted in decency, respect, and accountability, not in chaos and anarchy.
