Under special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, police personnel have been deployed across all recreational areas, including Margalla Hills, Faisal Mosque, Daman-i-Koh, Fatima Jinnah Park, Pakistan Monument, and other major locations.

The Dolphin Squad and female police officers have been stationed at key recreational sites to strengthen security, while designated parking areas have been arranged to facilitate smooth traffic management. Officials stressed that the measures are part of a broader plan to enhance law enforcement presence in public spaces.

The heightened security comes in response to a recent attack at Lake View Park, where gunmen opened fire on a man, killing one person and injuring four others. The incident triggered panic among visitors, forcing families to flee the area.

Police officials have urged the public to cooperate with security personnel and remain vigilant while visiting parks and commercial centres. They also emphasized that regular patrols and rapid response teams are being deployed to quickly address any emergencies.
