Sacrifices rendered by PPP unparalelled in world, says Memon

Published on: November 30, 2025 1:48 AM

Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that today the Pakistan Peoples Party will complete 58 years since its foundation. On this occasion, ceremonies are being organized by the Pakistan Peoples Party across the country. On Foundation Day, PPP workers across Pakistan will cut cakes at these ceremonies. The main ceremony will be addressed by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Digital screens will be installed at various places across the country, on which Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s address will be broadcast live so that people can directly witness the party’s 58 years of struggle and service.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said that the sacrifices, achievements, and services rendered by the Pakistan Peoples Party for the country are unparalleled in the world. The entire world recognizes that the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear capability was laid by the Qauid Awam, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who, without regard for his own life, made the country a nuclear power, gave the country its first unanimous constitution, introduced the national identity card, and established educational institutions across the country during his tenure.

He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto provided Pakistan with missile technology and became a strong voice for women, while President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also rendered significant services to the country. He said that Bilawal Bhutto, as Foreign Minister, presented the Kashmir case to India with courage and did not back down despite a bounty being placed on his head.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the PPP has always made sacrifices for democracy, endured imprisonment, and given lives; the PPP has never changed its narrative, has fought terrorism, and has even accepted the gallows. There have been conspiracies and media trials over fifty-eight years, but the PPP’s struggle has always been for the country and the people.

He further said that no political party in the world is building 2.1 million houses for free; the Sindh government of the Pakistan Peoples Party is building 2.1 million houses for flood victims and is giving ownership rights to women.

He said that the cheapest electricity is currently being produced from Thar coal, and the cheapest electricity is being supplied to the country from Thar coal; even experts acknowledge that the cheapest electricity in Pakistan can be produced from Thar coal.

He said that foreign farmers were given benefits while Pakistani farmers were pushed into difficulties, on which Bilawal Bhutto raised his voice.
