Justice Aminuddin also inspected an area earmarked for a public desk to receive fresh cases, petitions for certified copies, and information requests. The desk, located near the IHC reception, aims to streamline processes for litigants, lawyers, and the general public, addressing previous complaints about the lack of a dedicated filing facility for FCC petitions.
The Islamabad High Court Bar Association welcomed the initiative, calling it a positive step toward administrative efficiency and improved public facilitation within the FCC.
Separately, Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi chaired the eighth interactive progress review session at the Supreme Court under the Reform Action Plan (RAP). The session reviewed 86 initiatives, noting 36 completed, 45 under implementation, and 13 scheduled to begin soon, highlighting efforts to modernize processes, improve institutional efficiency, and strengthen citizen-centric judicial services.
