Security forces kill 15 Indian-backed terrorists in KP

Published on: November 18, 2025 3:06 PM

Pakistani security forces killed 15 Indian-backed terrorists in two operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 15–16. The raids targeted Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, including top leaders. The operations are part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam,” aimed at removing foreign-backed threats.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), one operation took place in Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan, following credible intelligence about militant presence. Troops engaged the militants, killing ten, including the group’s main leader, Alam Mehsud. In a separate raid in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, five more terrorists were neutralized. Clearance operations continue in both areas to eliminate remaining threats.

The ISPR said these operations are part of a relentless campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. The aim is to eradicate terrorism and dismantle foreign-supported militant networks in Pakistan. Security forces remain vigilant and continue intelligence-driven missions to prevent future attacks.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the success of the operations. He said Pakistan’s security forces are achieving major victories against terrorism. The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completely eliminating terrorist threats from the country.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the bravery and professionalism of the troops. He said the forces thwarted Indian-sponsored militants’ plans and restored peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Naqvi added that operations will continue until all terrorists are eliminated, and the nation fully supports their efforts.
