
Pakistani forces killed 22 terrorists and injured several others during an operation in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The intelligence-based operation targeted militants hiding in Gadar village. Security sources called it a major success.
The operation was based on highly classified information about the presence of a large number of TTP militants, locally called khawarij. Forces acted immediately after receiving the confirmed intelligence. The targeted assault ensured all terrorists were neutralized without harming civilians.

Local tribal elders had cooperated by evacuating the village before the operation. The terrorists were hiding in empty houses, making the mission precise and safe. Security sources said the nation and its forces remain united against terrorism.
Recent months have seen a surge in attacks in KP and Balochistan. The TTP ended its ceasefire with the government in November 2022, targeting police and security forces. Last week, at least three terrorists were killed in separate KP operations.

In October, security forces killed 22 more terrorists, including TTP’s second-in-command, across KP and Balochistan. Earlier, 34 “India-backed” terrorists were also killed in multiple operations. Authorities reaffirmed that counterterrorism efforts will continue until all threats are eliminated.
