Islamabad authorities arrested four members of Fitna-al-Khawarij linked to the Judicial Complex suicide attack on Friday. The arrests were made in a joint operation by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). Officials said the cell included the operational commander and his three accomplices.
Investigators revealed that Sajidullah alias “Sheena”, the handler of the suicide bomber, confessed that TTP/Fitna-al-Khawarij commander Saeed-ur-Rehman alias Dadullah, based in Bajaur and currently in Afghanistan, instructed him to carry out the attack. The operation was planned via Telegram, aiming to cause maximum damage to law enforcement agencies.

The bomber, Usman alias “Qari”, a resident of Achin, Nangarhar, Afghanistan, belonged to the Shinwari tribe. Sajidullah arranged his stay in the outskirts of Islamabad, procured the suicide vest from Peshawar, and assisted the bomber on the day of the attack. Investigators confirmed that TTP leadership in Afghanistan directed the entire operation.
Authorities said the entire network involved in the attack has now been apprehended. The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in the case, as the operational commander and his aides are in custody. Security agencies are continuing investigations to uncover further details.
